UNBOUND EMOTIONS – The Unbound Language of Feeling: A Pluralistic Symphony of Contemporary Art
Curated by Rajib Sikdar (Art Family, India)

From 1st to 5th September 2025, the Visual Arts Gallery at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, will host a landmark international exhibition—“UNBOUND EMOTIONS – The Unbound Language of Feeling”, curated by Rajib Sikdar on behalf of Art Family, India. This marks the 61st international exhibition by Art Family and is being regarded as a significant cultural milestone. The grand inauguration will take place on 1st September at 6:00 PM, with the esteemed presence of Dr. Sanjeev Kishor Gautam, Director General, NGMA (New Delhi), as the Chief Guest.

“UNBOUND EMOTIONS” is not merely an exhibition—it is an experience, where art transforms into a shared language of empathy, connection, and memory. The exhibition will showcase a wide range of media—painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, calligraphy, graphics, and traditional arts. Each artwork seeks to carry the audience beyond the surface of visual delight into the deeper emotional layers that shape human life. According to curator Rajib Sikdar, the central concept of this exhibition is “the boundlessness of emotions”—expressed through color, line, form, and silence.

The presence of Indian artists brings special depth to this exhibition. Multiple voices of Indian art converge here—meditative abstractions, semi-realist depictions, emotive calligraphy, experimental graphics, poetic photography, and powerful sculpture. Themes range from mythology and symbolism to landscapes, wildlife, and philosophical explorations of color. Some artists revive cultural traditions and memories, while others engage with universal concerns of love, desire, and human relationships. Collectively, these perspectives illuminate the soul of Indian art and its vibrant plurality.

The international dimension lends the exhibition greater resonance. From Germany, Frank Platte presents works infused with formal clarity and contemporary experimentation; from Sri Lanka, Chamini Weerasooriya contributes nature-inspired creations with spiritual depth and distinctive cultural resonance. Together with Indian participants, this cross-cultural synergy underscores the exhibition’s belief that emotions are not confined by geography.

The rich roster of participating artists includes: Frank Platte (Germany), Chamini Weerasooriya (Sri Lanka), Sutanu Panigrahi, Dipendranath, Jitendra Prajapati, Joydeep Bhattacharya, Sanjay Banerjee, Sanjukta Paul, Monika Singh, Santosh Kumar Sandilya, Susmita Mandal, Pradee Ranjan Sengupta, Sunita Dinda, Heeral Bhagat, Rahul Rai, Ishita Choudhury, Sharyu Amoda, Fuad Kidwai, Moumita Moshan, Shadab Qazi, Rajarshi Adhikari, Anand Kumar, Naveen Das, Dr. Pragati Singh, Nirupam Ghosh, Madhusudan Das, Pinaki Bhattacharya, Santanu Nandan Dinda, Keshab Bandyopadhyay, Jaishankar Sharma, Meenu Rani, Pulkesh Mandal, Rabi Pashi, S.P. Verma, Mudrika Khushi Gururani, Bhumika Bahuguna, Abhishek Namdeo, and Shashikala Singh.

At its essence, “UNBOUND EMOTIONS” has been conceived as an emotional archive—a space where tradition meets innovation, rural and urban sensibilities converse, and meditative silence merges with daring experimentation. By presenting this exhibition at the prestigious India Habitat Centre, Art Family strengthens its commitment to fostering diversity and dialogue in art.

This forthcoming international exhibition is not simply a showcase of artworks, but a collective act of emotive witnessing. Here, artists speak the language of the heart—honest, fearless, and profound. For the audience, it is not just an opportunity to see, but to feel, absorb, and carry within—a resonant emotional symphony that transcends boundaries and cultures.
